HILLSDALE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Authorities said they have yet to locate a driver who crashed a pickup truck into a utility pole in Hillsdale early Sunday morning.
According to the Vermillion County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 1:18 a.m. on Kennedy Lane when a pickup truck traveling southbound left the roadway, ran over a fence and struck a Duke Energy utility pole. The impact broke the pole in half causing several downed power lines.
Crews from Duke Energy secured the power lines allowing authorities to remove the vehicle.
