CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A local tutoring program receives a donation from a philanthropic group.
100 Women Who Care Clay County presented $6,600 to Be Nice Be Kind on Tuesday.
The organization will use the money to fund their K-12 tutoring program.
“These funds will go to better educate the children needing remediation in Clay County,” says Pam Fischer, president Be Nice Be Kind.
Elaine Clarke, the advocating 100 Women Who Care member, stated, “Children who receive tutoring builds their self-esteem and confidence in subject matter.”
Be Nice Be Kind says its mission is “to inspire, motivate, and equip people to simply be nice and be kind. We want all people, especially our youth, to know that they have the support of the community without prejudice; we want to bring the experience of loving kindness to as many people as possible.”
