TERRE HAUTE, Ind.(WTWO/WAWV) – Wednesday, staff with the FSA Counseling Center held an informational meeting for their 5th annual Culinary Queens fundraiser.
The event allows for volunteer Queen cooks to make meals which will be served at FSA’s Halloween party on October 26th.
The proceeds from the fundraiser will help FSA provide counseling services at a reduced rate.
Leaders say they have seen a decline in volunteers this year but the help is needed.
“It is vital to our agencies. It raises between $65 and $75,000 dollars a year, which goes towards helping our cost of our agency, our programming, and our services,” said Jaymie Wood, executive director of FSA Counseling Center.
Wood says you do not have to be a professional cook to volunteer.
