Cruisin’ and Crashin’ will take place at the Wabash Valley Fairgrounds in Terre Haute on Saturday, October 19.
The day will start with a car show and there’s a demolition derby in the afternoon.
Part of the event benefits the family of Cody Little, a local demolition derby driver who died this year.
The event also benefits PINK of Terre haute, a local organization that helps those with breast cancer and their families.
“I think that everyone has been touched by someone who has cancer or breast cancer,” says Jenny Hamilton, the Events and Marketing Coordinator for the Wabash Valley Fair Association. “I just think it’s a great organization that stays local and it’s important to keep money local. If you’re going to donate, I would like to think that it goes back to somebody that you know or has been touched by cancer in some way.”
Registration for the car show takes place from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Judging is at 1 p.m. and awards will be given at 3 p.m.
The demolition derby takes place at 4 p.m.
