VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – U.S. 41 southbound is down to one lane in southern Vigo County near Pimento due to a serious accident.
The wreck happened around 3:40 A.M. in the southbound lanes just south of Pimento.
Only one vehicle was involved. Emergency crews on the scene say the driver hit a deer and the vehicle rolled over.
One person was transported to Terre Haute Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to first responders on the scene.
Emergency crews had to shut down both lanes of southbound U.S. 41 for a brief time, but then re-opened it to one lane.
