SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Heavy rains in southern Vigo County and Sullivan County have flooded roadways.
According to Sullivan County Councilman John Waterman, from State Road 246 in Vigo County to State Road 48 in Shelburn, and everything west of 41, including Hwy 63, is flooded.
Waterman said he has never seen some of these areas under water. He urges residents to avoid traveling in the area and to stay home if possible.
According to our meteorologist, Flash Flooding warnings are in effect in the area until around 8:30 p.m.
