WABASH VALLEY (WTWO/WAWV) – Reckless driving was a common theme for law enforcement patrolling over Memorial Day Weekend with two women clocked driving over 100 MPH.
In Greene County Saturday morning, Brittany L. Busko, 21, of South Bend, Ind. was pulled over after an Indiana State Police trooper clocked her driving 101 MPH in a 70 MPH zone on Interstate 69.
After failing several field sobriety tests, she agreed to a breathalyzer that indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent, which is over twice the Indiana legal limit.
Busko was charged with reckless driving and three counts of operating while intoxicated. She was transported to the Greene County Jail where she was held pending posting of bond.
Later that afternoon, a Vermillion County reserve deputy clocked a vehicle at 117 MPH in a 60 MPH zone on SR 63 between Hillsdale and Clinton. The driver was later identified as Princess Atehawungh Asonganyi of Evanston, Ill.
She was transported to the Vermillion County Jail where she later posted $500 cash bond and was released.
