According to police, the suspected robber took a cab to Greenwood Apartments in Terre Haute. Once there, he pulled out a gun and attempted to rob the cab driver. The driver, in turn, pulled out a gun and shot the suspect.
The suspect took off to a location in the 2100 block of 23 1/2 Drive in Terre Haute. There, he was picked up by an ambulance and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say they will release the suspects name once he is released from the hospital and booked into Vigo County Jail.
