BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The man wanted for questioning about a Saturday shooting in Brazil is behind bars.
The shooting incident happened at West Central Village Apartments. One person suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital.
Since the incident, the Brazil Police Department asked the public’s help finding Jay Samuel Ellis for question.
Ellis was spotted entering a home in Terre Haute Thursday evening.
Officers responded and he was taken into custody.
Ellis is now in the Clay County Jail on $10,000 bond.
He’s currently being held on two Clay County warrants.
Requests for additional charges stemming from the shooting incident will be turned over to the Clay County Prosecutor next week.
