SEELYVILLE (WTWO/WAWV) — A Terre Haute man is facing more than his original conversion charge after attempting to flee a state trooper and wrecking his vehicle Monday evening.
A state trooper was patrolling in the Seelyville area when he spotted Kenneth Rogers, 35, who was wanted on a warrant.
When the trooper attempted to pull Rogers’ vehicle over, he took off. During the pursuit, Rogers had a minor accident on US 40 and 2nd Street before fleeing again.
He eventually turned onto a county road where he missed a curve and ended up traveling through a wooded area before the vehicle came to rest with its front corner panel submerged in water.
Authorities said Rogers attempted to hide from the trooper in the water, but was apprehended.
He was taken to Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
