MARSHALL, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) – Tonight a non profit organization called Marshall Main Street presented its 22nd annual lemonade stand contest.
Kids entered into the contest and made their lemonade , then people tasted it and voted for their favorite.
There were a number of awards presented. Including a people choice award, marshal main street award, and a few others.
Along with the lemonade contest the 7th annual Strawberry Fest was also held.
The lemonade contest has become a tradition in the Marshall community and it’s something that people really enjoy.
Twon smith, executive director of Marshall Main Street, said “well as you can tell by looking around it means quite a bit to a community like Marshall. We’ve even had people here today just traveling through.”
