TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A suspect is in police custody after shots were fired during a verbal argument in Terre Haute, according to police.
Robert Sanchez was arrested on a preliminary charge of intimidation after Terre Haute Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 2300 block of 3rd Avenue just after 2 p.m. Monday.
A male victim at the location told police he had been in a verbal argument with Sanchez when he showed the victim what appeared to be a handgun.
“Sanchez eventually emerged from the residence and was detained,” according to a post on the Terre Haute Police Department Facebook page.
Following a search, police recovered a CO2 powered BB gun that is believed to be the weapon in question.
