All involved suffered non life-threatening injuries. It happened just before 3 pm in the westbound lanes of I-70 near mile marker 48. INDOT workers were doing routine maintenance work when a pickup truck left its lane and hit the back of the INDOT vehicle, flipping it upside down. One worker was transported to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis the others to Regional.
The driver of the truck was identified as 40 year old Aaron Cass of Bowling Green. INDOT workers reported Cass was traveling at a high speed. Cass and a passenger were flown to Methodist.
State police were unable to talk with Cass after the accident. He’s been cited for unsafe lane movement.
