According to town officials, water to Dugger will be shut off for a large portion of the day both Monday and Tuesday as Dashiell Contracting Inc. crews work on repairs.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, crews will be making new water main connections and retiring old service lines. This work requires water be turned off.
Once water is back on, a precautionary boil order will go under effect. During the order, residents should boil all water used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth and washing dishes.
The order will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey confirms the water is safe to drink.
