GREENE COUNTY, Ind. – A Mattoon, Ill. man was killed Wednesday afternoon in a single-vehicle car crash in Greene County, Ind.
According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, Aaron Henigman, 46, of Mattoon was the passenger in a vehicle driven by Jason Giberson, 42, of Worthington, Ind.
Giberson was traveling on CR 100S near County Road 150W when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree.
Henigman was pronounced dead at the scene. Giberson was air-lifted to Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis.
The Indiana State Police performed a crash reconstruction of the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
The Switz City Fire Department and Greene County Ambulance Service also assisted at the scene.
