EDGAR CO., Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — On Wednesday, the Edgar County Emergency Services and Disaster Agency announced several cooling centers lavailable for those trying to escape the heat.
Cooling centers will be available at the following locations until further notice:
Human Resource Center of Paris
118 W. Court St., Paris From 8 a.m. to 5 Monday through Thursday; and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday
Paris Senior Center 256 W Court
256 W. Court, Paris 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday
Pleasant Meadows
400 W Washington, Chrisman

Hume Community Center
101 Front St., Hume Available as needed by calling (217) 251-6453
Kansas Christian Church
110 N. Franklin, Kansas From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday
