TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Residents are advised to stay in their homes, Clinton Street is blocked off.
The Indiana State Police are at the scene of a home in North Terre Haute where a resident reported a suspicious package on his trashcan.
According to ISP Public Information Officer Sgt. Matt Ames, a trooper was in the area finishing paperwork in his car when the resident at 5358 N. Clinton Street knocked on his window to report the suspicious package.
The trooper examined the package before calling the Explosive Ordinance Disposal team in Indianapolis around 8:30 am.
The EOD team arrived on scene around 10:30am.
