The Good Samaritan Foundation broke ground on the Charles C. Hedde, MD Health Education Center on Tuesday.
The building will be used to train Indiana University School of Medicine residents, as well as Good Samaritan’s clinical staff.
“It’s an important asset because in health care, there’s obviously a lot of training that goes on, continuous training. That’s the way we would want it to be if we’re the patient in the bed,” says Gary Hackney, Director of the Good Samaritan Foundation.
The foundation hopes to open the center a year from now. They are still fundraising to reach their $2.5 million goal for the project. Anyone who is interested in helping can click here or call Good Samaritan at 812-885-5220.
