LINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A new low-cost spay and neuter clinic in Greene County is opening its doors to the public next week, June 9.
The new clinic, named Fix ‘n’ Friends, will be located inside the animal shelter in Linton, at 1026 North 1375 West, and will provide the Greene County community with affordable veterinary care.
The Greene County Humane Society said the clinic was created in response to PetAlive discontinuing operations in the county, limiting pet owners’ options for low-cost spay and neuter services.
“We saw a sharp increase in calls from people who couldn’t find affordable options
for spaying or neutering their pets,” said Kegan Inman, President of the Greene
County Humane Society. “Fix ‘n’ Friends is our answer to that need — affordable,
local, and compassionate care for the animals and families who need it most.”
“This is more than just a clinic — it’s a community resource,” said Dr. Theresa Navarro, an experienced veterinarian who will be the head of the clinic. “We want to keep pets healthy and help families access affordable care. It’s rewarding to be part of something so essential, right in my own backyard.”
