The original deadline to apply for the license was Sunday, Dec. 1. It has been moved to Dec. 2 to fall on a Monday instead.
Indiana legislators passed a bill earlier this year that would allow an inland casino license to move from Gary to the Terre Haute area. Vigo County voters overwhelmingly supported the measure, with 63% voting to approve the referendum on the Nov. 5 ballot.
One company that has expressed interest in the license is Spectacle Entertainment. Earlier this year, the company signed a letter of intent with the Hard Rock Casino that would bring the franchise to Terre Haute if Spectacle Entertainment is awarded the license.
