TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Indiana American water has issued a Boil Water Advisory (BWA), impacting approximately 800 customers in Noth Terre Haute, as of 1:45 p.m.
Locations include North 13th from Fort Harrison to Parke Ave, and on Lafayette and Clinton North of Fort Harrison to Head Road, including Head Road.
Indiana American Water said, crews are working on restoring service after a private fire service main was hit by a contractor and water pressure dropped in multiple areas.
Any water that is to be used for drinking and cooking should be brought to a boil for 3 minutes. Water used for bathing, washing and other common uses is still safe to use.
The advisory is expected to be in effect for 24 hours, ending at 1:45 p.m., Tuesday.
