MONTGOMERY Co., Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said an 18-year-old from Waveland was killed after getting trapped in a grain silo Friday.
They said they responded to a possible entrapment in the town of Waveland around 12:05 p.m. The victim became trapped while working at the grain elevator.
According to the sheriff, the body of Colten Howard, of rural Waveland, was recovered from inside the grain silo around 9:05 p.m.
The Waveland Police Department, Montgomery County Emergency Management, Crawfordsville Fire Department and Waveland Fire Department contributed to rescue efforts at the scene.
