PARIS, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) – Schmitt Family Tree Farm opened for the first day of the season on Sunday.
This is the second year that the tree farm has been opened.
Locals who are looking for a tree can choose between two different types. The Schmitt family has Fraser Fir and Scotch Pine trees available.
“We’re both emotional. It gives us a time to spend with family. Just to be together, and make memories together, and allow that for other families to make memories, too,” Owners, Joe and Stephanie Schmitt said.
All the trees on the farm come from Northern Wisconsin.
The family had 200 trees on the farm last year. They will have the same amount of trees this year.
The Schmitt Family Tree Farm also offers free popcorn, coffee, and coco to those shopping for the perfect tree.
