TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Some unique animals were in town Sunday at the Vigo County Fairgrounds for the Terre Haute Exotic Pet Expo. Visitors were able to see and hold various reptiles, rodents, and birds.
The event happens every three months and the goal is to find the animals homes, as well as educate the public about exotic pets. Workers at the Expo said the show gets bigger every time they hold it.
“We’re trying to find homes for animals to reproduce and we’re trying to grow the hobby. And over the years, it has grown a bit,” Ron Billingsley, show promoter of the Terre Haute Pet Expo said.
The next show will be at the Vigo County Fairgrounds again on Sunday, August 2nd.
