TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A lot of local people got this Black Friday started with a workout.
The YMCA hosted its seventh annual Turkey Burn on Friday morning.
There were three different workouts for people to choose from.
Revelation Wellness Instructor Carrie Evans says the event is about something much more meaningful than just burning calories.
“I just really like to share with people that it’s not about punishing our bodies for the calories we eat. It’s not about the calorie burn. It’s truly about moving our bodies because we can. It’s a get to, not a have to,” says Evans.
She says they see more participants in the event every year.
