SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Sullivan’s Old 41 Diner was declared a total loss following a Wednesday night fire.
Sullivan County Dispatch received a call at 5:20 p.m. reporting heavy smoke and flames at the restaurant. Firefighters entrance to the building was delayed due to extreme heat from the blaze.
Section Street, where the diner is located, was closed to traffic as emergency crews worked to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters said the diner was a complete loss, however; no injures have been reported.
Units on the scene included the Sullivan Sheriff’s Department, Sullivan City Police Department, Sullivan City Fire Department, The Thunderbird Fire Department and Sullivan County Ambulance.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
