TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Terre Haute business with a history stretching back to 1920 has selected a new face to serve as president.
Templeton Coal Company Incorporated has announced that David S. Templeton has been made president of the privately owned business.
Templeton previously served as a Board Member and Vice President of Templeton Coal, and also worked as the President and CEO of Glas-Col LLC, a subsidiary of Templeton Coal, for the last seven years.
A graduate of Indiana University, Templeton also is involved with the executive board of the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce and the Terre Haute Economic Development Corporation. Templeton also serves on the board of directors for Thrive Foundation, Swope Art Museum, and Habitat For Humanity of the Wabash Valley.
Outgoing President Curt Brighton, who served as president since 2011, will remain involved with the company serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
