VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Brownsburg, IN, man is in the Vermillion Co. jail facing seven counts of home insurance fraud and seven counts of theft.
Randall Blake Copeland’s charges stem from the severe storm that hit Vermillion Co. back in May. Copeland’s company, Damage Solutions LLC, signed contracts in Clinton and Fairview Park and accepted over $120,000 in insurance money for projects that were never completed.
Copeland also hired a contractor out of Indianapolis for one project, but never paid that worker. He faces similar charges in Hendricks Co. and Boone Co.
Copeland is being held without bond pending his first hearing.
