TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Blue Angels arrived at the Terre Haute Regional Airport today for a winter visit to prepare and promote their participation in the coming 2024 Terre Haute Air Show.
Blue Angel No. 7 and No. 8 touched down just after 9 a.m., The U.S. Navy Blue Angels say the winter visit allows them to finalize preparations for the upcoming performance. The Terre Haute Air Show will take place on the first and second of June. It will be the first air show in five years.

The visit allows the team to ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place ahead of the coming performance.
The Blue Angels are scheduled to be a part of this summer’s air show with their crew of Blue Angel F/A 18 aircraft.
Blue Angel No. 8 is Lt. Commander, and Blue Angels Events Coordinator, Brian Vaught. He said seeing the Blue Angels in-person is a special feeling.
“When the jets pass over you can kind of feel it in your bones. It gives you goosebumps and just makes you proud to be an American,” Vaught said.
Blue Angel No. 7 is Lieutenant, and Narrator, Connor O’Donnell. He said no two Blue Angel’s demonstrations are the same.
“Every show is a little different, and for Brian and I who are on the ground for the flight demonstration, we can tell that the energy of the crowd is different everywhere we go,” O’Donnell said.
There are a number of ticket options available at various prices and some come with added perks.
General admission tickets cost $20 for adults, children age 12 and under get in for free, while military with an ID can get a $2 discount.
Seating Area with Shade Tent tickets cost $45 for children aged 12 and under, while adults cost $50, with discounts for military with ID. These tickets will include access to the chair seating area, shade tent, complimentary water & exclusive restroom access.
Pilots Lounge tickets will give the visitor even more benefits, including complimentary soft drinks, a catered buffet, as well as air conditioned restroom access. A cash bar with beer and wine for purchase will also be available to pilot lounge ticket holders that are at least 21-years-old. Cost for Pilots Lounge tickets are $150 for adults (13+), $125 for children aged 12 and under, with discounts for military with ID.
