For 29 years the Wabash Valley Herb Society has gathered plant lovers and crafters together for an annual Herb Fair.
Gardeners from all over came to sell their seeds, flowers and vegetables.
Local artisans displayed handmade works of art, including lawn ornaments to pair with spring green plants.
This is the Wabash Valley Herb Society’s one big fundraiser a year, and proceeds from vendor booths go straight to the running of the organization as well as one thousand dollar scholarships for graduating local seniors.
“It’s always a good time. It’s always before Mother’s Day. We see the same people all the time come with their daughters, and they come together and they buy presents for them,” said Treasurer Treva Cook. “And it’s just, it’s good to support the Herb Society and to support the kids who get the scholarships.”
With 92 vendors at this years fair, everyone is getting into the spring spirit, and just in time for Mother’s Day.
