But with new ownership comes a new name:
Haute City Center.
In August, mall officials announced a new name and logo would be chosen for Honey Creek Mall through a contest open to the public.
The winner of the contest, Rachel Scott of Quincy, Indiana, was named Monday with the unveiling of the new branding.
Scott said she used to refer to Terre Haute as “Haute City” as a child, and that is how she came up with the name.
The logo was designed by Sherrie Hall of Terre Haute, and features two squares offset with the words “Haute City Center” centered underneath.
According to mall officials, the logo was chosen for its “modern and progressive” look.
The transition into the new branding will take place over the next six months.
