VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO) — A new superintendent has been selected for Vigo County School Corporation.
According to School Board President Amy Lore, the school board has selected a candidate to fill the role of the new superintendent, but they have not announced who that person is publically.
Board members are still working to negotiate a contract they can share publically. Once that is done, the contract will be available for 10 calendar days and the board will host a special public hearing talking exclusively about the contract and everything in it.
The school board initially held two rounds of interviews for 12 candidates. Two finalists were selected from that pool of candidates. From there, board members conducted site visits and reference checks, leading to their unanimous final selection.
Although an official timeline has not been given, Lore said it could be a few more weeks until the new superintendent is revealed publically.
