CLARK COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — Route 40 in Clark County will be closed on both the east and westbound lanes for replacement construction.
According to Clark County Sheriff Bill Brown, IDOT will be closing both eastbound and westbound lanes on Route 40 from Dunlap Road to the state line.
The closure is scheduled so that IDOT crews can put a crossover from eastbound Interstate 70 to Route 40. The crossover is being implemented so repairs to the supporting beams along Route 40 can be repaired after being damaged last year.
The project is expected to take around 6 weeks to complete.
