SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Sullivan County Salvation Army exceeded its Red Kettle fundraising goal this season.
More than 600 volunteer hours were spent ringing bells for the Red Kettle Campaign, raising more than $40,000.
One special donation, a silver bar, was discovered during the final count.
According to Sullivan County Salvation Army president Michele L. Smith, the bar is worth approximately $18, and the “excitement generated by seeing the bar in the bucket is priceless!!”
