JASONVILLE (WTWO/WAWV) — People across the state started off their New Year taking hike.
One such “First Day Hike” was held at Shakamak State Park Wednesday morning. The hike was two and half miles along a paved path.
Organizers said the hike was a good way to see what the park has to offer.
“It’s one of the best opprotunities to really make an impact and get people outside away from the electronics and everythign else and enjoy something that indiana has, its a treasure,” said Kenna Duguay, assistant manager at Shakamak State Park.
