SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. – Multiple agencies are coming together after a death in Sullivan County was ruled a homicide.
Investigators from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police, Sullivan County Prosecutor‘s Office and the Sullivan County Coroner’s Office are working together on a joint investigation.
A body was recovered in eastern Sullivan County Tuesday during the execution of a search warrant.
An autopsy was performed Wednesday revealing a preliminary manner of death as homicide.
The victim’s name is not being released at this time pending preliminary identification, as well as notification of family.
Police say that there is no threat to the community at this time.
This is an active investigation and further details will be released as the investigation progresses throughout the hours and days ahead.
