TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Terre Haute man was arrested on drug possession charges following a traffic stop Wednesday.
An Indiana State Police trooper pulled over 29-year-old Joshua James Earnest Hart for not wearing a seatbelt, and after running his license found Hart had an active warrant out of Vermillion County. The trooper also suspected Hart was driving under the influence.
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of legend drugs and paraphernalia. State police explained that legend drugs are those that require a prescription.
Hart refused to submit to a certified test. He was arrested and charged with possession of legend drugs, operating while intoxicated, possession of paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
