TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Thursday was the day Wade Glahn has been waiting for. After nearly five months apart, he was reunited with his dog, Nela thanks to the Terre Haute Humane Society.
A member of the United States Air Force, Glahn left Nela with a friend after being stationed in Virginia Beach, Virginia; however, while Glahn was away, his friend ended up leaving Nela with the humane society.
Nela had been with the humane society for approximately a month when Glahn happened to see her picture on the organization’s Facebook page.
For weeks Glahn worked with Sarah Valentine, general manager at the Terre Haute Humane Society to arrange the reunion, and Thursday it finally all came together.
