BLOOMFIELD, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A local organization is helping children who are awaiting foster care.
Erin’s Purpose is a faith-based non-profit in Bloomfield that works to empower youth. The group is building a 14 x30 cabin and McHenry homes is helping design it.
The building will be used by DCS as a comfortable place for a child to stay with a DCS worker until they are placed in foster care.
“This tiny house with a big purpose will be a place where they can take showers, have meals, put on clean clothes and have a bed to sleep in and the DCS worker can stay there comfortably as well,” Cris Floyd, Co-Founder of Erin’s Purpose, said.
Floyd hopes to have the tiny house open in about a month.
