TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Dollar General store on the north side of Terre Haute has changed locations to a new building.
Now at 2247 Lafayette Avenue, Dollar General said in a press release that the new location will ‘provide customers the same value and convenience, just in a different location.”
The new store also features a curated assortment of fresh fruits and vegetables including lettuce, tomatoes, onions, apples, strawberries, potatoes, sweet potatoes, lemons, limes, salad mixes, and more. The produce set offers the top 20 items typically sold in traditional grocery stores and covers approximately 80% of produce categories most grocery stores carry.
Additionally, the company says that its Literacy Foundation allows schools, non-profits, and libraries within a 15-mile radius of the store to apply for grants. Since the foundation started in 1993, it has awarded more than 203 million dollars in grants to help people toward literacy or continued education.
