PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Update: As of 1:57 p.m. all lanes have been re-opened on I-70 Eastbound.
According to Indiana State Police Sgt. Matt Ames, the crash occurred at approximately 12:25 p.m. near mile marker 42 of I-70 eastbound. The incident included two passenger vehicles and a semi truck. Ames says the driver of the semi failed to observe that traffic had slowed in front of him, causing the truck to rear-end a passenger vehicle in the driving lane. The truck then went into the passing lane striking another vehicle before turning into the median and coming to a stop.
2 individuals from the struck vehicles were taken to the Putnam County Hospital as a result.

Indiana State Police Sgt. Matt Ames confirmed their units are working the accident near mile marker 42 Close to the Cloverdale Exit.
