A local veteran’s group and a gun store are gearing up for the second annual Gears for Grunts event.
The Loyal Veteran’s Battalion will host a car show at Top Gun’s this Saturday.
All proceeds raised from the show go toward feeding, clothing and bringing comfort to veterans and the needy in Vigo County.
Mike Egy with the veteran group says some cars in the show will be worth $250 thousand.
The first year for the event, 150 showed up and 64 cars were entered into the show. They hope to surpass last year’s $5 thousand raised.
But it’s not just about cars.
“We’re having a silent auction, we’re roasting a whole hog, so we’ll have pulled pork barbecue, we’ll have music.”

The event will run this Saturday at Top Guns from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
It’s open to the public.
