TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Locals came out to Miller Farms Saturday for the second annual Berry Bash.
Miller Farms showcased products created with their blackberries, including blackberry-flavored lemonade, wine, jam and syrup.
Locals could also pick their own blackberries for $5 a pound.
“We were looking for new ways and when we started the blackberry patch there were lots of different kinds of you-pick patches for different berries and different types of things but it really focused on a fruit. Well when we started having people come out to the patch they really focused on the experience and so we wanted to expand the experience for people and we thought that an event like this would help do that and then they could enjoy more then just picking the blackberries,” said Miller Farms co-owner Lindy Miller.
Pre-picked berries were $7 a pound.
