TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Update: As of 4:00 p.m. Feree drive has been re-opened and the pole has been replaced.

Drivers in the Terre Haute area are being asked to avoid a portion of Feree Drive after a vehicle crashed into an electric pole forcing its replacement.
Vigo County dispatch has confirmed that both lanes of East Feree Drive near Ironwood Lane and Eldridge Road are shut-down to allow Duke Energy crews space to replace the damaged electric pole. According to a Sheriff’s deputy on scene the call came into dispatch at approximately 9:23 a.m. of a single-vehicle crash with injury.
When arriving on the scene the deputy reported that the driver of the SUV complained of pain and was taken to a hospital for treatment. No cause of the crash has been determined.
Crews on scene were unable to provide an estimated time that the road would be reopened.
