GREENE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Emergency officials in Greene County are asking churches and other organizations to open as temporary cooling centers.
Roger Axe, Director of Greene County Emergency Management Agency, is requesting the cooling centers open Thursday through Saturday of this week.
In a news release, Axe says “We have several persons at risk especially the elderly and young that do not have air conditioning. Prolonged exposure to such excessive heat can be life threating.”
