TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV ) — A local man was honored Tuesday for his service to the community.
The Terre Haute Rotary Club awarded the Outstanding Rotarian Award to club member Bill Tennis. He is also the President and CEO of Wabash Valley Goodwill Industries and is retiring this week.
Tennis said he has been a member of the club for almost 40 years and that it means a lot to him. He said he has participated in the vast majority of club projects.
“I don’t do it for the accolades,” Tennis said. “I do it because I think the Rotary service is a big deal.”
While he is retiring from his position at Goodwill, Tennis said he will continue being a member of the Rotary Club.
