TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A crash with injuries shut down the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 near mile marker 4 for a little over five hours Saturday morning.
Indiana State Police Sgt. Matt Ames said one person was taken to a hospital in Indianapolis. That person’s injuries were not immediately known.
According to Vigo County 911 dispatch, the crash happened around 6:15 a.m. The westbound lanes reopened around 11:30 a.m.
ISP troopers redirected traffic from the interstate at mile marker 11 to Margaret Avenue and back onto the interstate while a team worked to clean up the road. A truck reportedly crashed into another truck carrying paint.
