TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — A license plate check early Thursday morning helped recover a stolen vehicle.
Cory J. Thompson, 29, of Terre Haute, was stopped at US 41 and Poplar Street when an Indiana State Police trooper ran the plates of the vehicle Thompson was driving, showing that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Terre Haute
During an inventory of the stolen vehicle, methamphetamine and narcotics were discovered.
Thompson was arrested for vehicle theft, driving while suspended and multiple drug offenses.
He was transported to the Vigo County Jail pending posting of bond.
