SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Conservation Officer Matt Landis recovered a stolen John Deere 5310 tractor, Sullivan County Sheriff Clark Cottom reported Friday.
Indiana Conservation Officers were on the lookout for the tractor after it was stolen from the Greene-Sullivan State Forest Dugger Unit property on Tuesday.
The tractor had been parked near State Road 54 and County Road 275 East.
Officer Landis and the Dugger Town Marshal responded to a tip, which ultimately led to the recovery of the stolen John Deere tractor from a private residence in Greene County. The investigation is still ongoing.
