TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Community members stopped by Baesler’s in Terre Haute Friday to grab lunch while supporting the Big Brother, Big Sisters program.
The fundraiser was held to help the organization reach its goal of creating one-on-one mentoring relationships with local children.
“So the fundraiser is to help us, you know, create matches, recruit more mentors,” explained Emily Freeman, BBBS coordinator. We currently have 30 plus children on the wait list, and the majority of those children are boys. So we are really looking to recruit male mentors too.”
